Fall 2013

Fall 2013 -- It's thrilling and gratifying to read so many wonderful reviews of the Caffè Lena box set I restored and mastered for Tompkins Square (as well as the beautiful book, Caffè Lena: Inside America's Legendary Coffeehouse, producer Jocelyn Arem researched and wrote for powerHouse): The New York Times, Metroland, The Guardian, American Songwriter. Serendipitously, not long after mastering a David Amram song for the box set, I mastered the forthcoming album Spring River by his talented daughter, Alana Amram.

I love a peek behind the scenes, so I was super excited to master 2-CDs worth of outtakes and rehearsals from Lee Ranaldo and the Dust's Last Night On Earth for Matador Records.

Another fall release worth many late night listenings: Occurrence's DECKS, a crazy, meticulous, riveting collage of sounds culled from old cassette tapes. Yes, this album will be released on cassette. Ask me when I last made a cassette master.
